We had another change around in the Gallery at the beginning of May and have improved the picture-hanging system in the front room (back room to be upgraded soon); this will make it much easier for the wall-hung art to be placed.
There is a fabulous array of new work by the makers so do come in a browse when you are next in Dolgellau.
Ianto Roberts has become a full member of the Co-operative and will be bringing in more and more of his photographs of this stunning landscape. Gail Roberts continues to show their range of snuggly crotcheted slippers and a number of items which are very child-friendly: dolls, bags, exquisite pouches.
Jenifer Brenner of Free as a Breeze has extended her range and now includes lamp-shades. Do have a look at the celfaranarts facebook page for new images.
Really Rustic’s beautiful wooden bench almost flew out the door – it sold within a couple of days. I want one, too!!! Wilbur and son of Wilbur, large wooden animals, have sold as well.
Visitors are back enjoying the glorious countryside and highly individual shops.

I’ve been working on the Blog over the last couple of days. I’ve made changes to the About page and there are now details of all our makers and how to contact them.
There is still a lot for me to learn, such as, why do some of the website links come up green and others seemingly wont?
I’ve loaded some images of work by members of the co-operative onto their pages and have a lot more to do.
We shall soon be changing the front window at the Gallery again – we all have instructions on how to make daffodils for the display. Well, I do have plenty of empty egg boxes but my paint and PVA glue are at the Craft Class venue in Machynlleth. Oh bother!
We had a very gorgeous display for St Dwynwen’s Day & Valentine’s Day, courtesy of Tyr (who makes lovely pots and other items which I have to endeavour not to buy each time I do my shift!!)
The Gallery is looking good – Come in and have a Browse.
We have had a move around of work , new work has come in and the Front Room has a rather beautiful white wall.
We have a new permanent maker – Rosiemade – and I may have to treat my husband to some of her oven mitts. She has cushions, lamp-shades and other soft-furnishing items, too.
Our Guest Maker for January is Jane Lloyd – her excellent draughtsmanship is evident from the work. She has original work, cards and prints available.
We are open this month on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and on the 3rd Sunday in the month (Farmers’ Market Day) from 10am to 2pm.
A glorious Autumn afternoon with sun shining across the valley.
On Thursday morning I was ‘on duty’ at Celf Aran Arts Gallery and the wind was howling and the rain was lashing down. In spite of this there were visitors buying gifts and thinking about Christmas presents.
We have a wonderful selection of art and craft work and our Guest Makers for November are Denim Ducks from Anglesey. Have a look at their work in the Gallery or on-line at http://www.thedenimduckcompany.com
We are open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 5pm and on the 3rd Sunday of each month. The Christmas Lights are turned on in Dolgellau on the 27th of November and we shall be open until 9pm that evening.
